π« the future of marvel - phase 5 and 6
ape of the emerald city back, here to bring you culture news to top off your sunday.
πββ¬ san diego comic con
over the week, san diego comic con happened. sdcc is an annual event where people celebrate everything to do with comic books
at the event, major studios release trailers and news about what they have for audiences. some highlights from this yearβs panels:
warner bros showed trailers for their upcoming films black adam and shazam
disney showed trailers for the disney plus shows she hulk and i am groot, and upcoming film wakanda forever
amazon showed a trailer for their lord of the rings series rings of power
given that these are all potentially billion dollar projects, it might be worth noting which films could be the next big hit this year
π¬ marvelβs phase 5 and 6
the highlight of the convention was, in my opinion, marvelβs panel. personally, iβve been getting quite sick of marvelβs endless release schedule - theyβre getting tiring, boring, and in some cases (iβm looking at you thor) feel like parodies. but letβs look at what they announced:
feb 2023 - antman quantumania
may 2023 - guardians of the galaxy vol. 3
2024 - daredevil born again
2025 - avengers kang dynasty
2025 - avengers secret wars
there are many more projects in the lineup, but it seems that marvelβs projects are slowly building to 2025, with 2 avengers films releasing the same year. i wonder what you think about the biggest franchise (currently) in the world and if this news excites you!
π‘ something im thinking about
anyone seen the movie cats (2019)? the cgi from this film still gives me nightmares..
