• previously, the oldest transaction on record was a man buying two large pizzas with 10,000 bitcoin (may 2012)

• now, we found an even older one from january 2010 – 500 bitcoin for a one-dollar picture (yes, a desktop background)

🤷 would’ve, should’ve…

• that’s right, had he decided to not “test out” the bitcoin transaction and kept the 500 bitcoin, as of writing, they would’ve had $13.5 million today

• as seen in the picture above, the address of the seller is 1BHtsCnpmTvpgJEP7eMKEVhpJFunxSM8vq, which now only has ~.0001 bitcoin (or ) according to blocknomics as of writing (just around 3 bucks)

satoshi (the anonymous name for the founder of bitcoin) even tried to helped with the transaction as well!
